I'd just like to know if any speakers continued the refrain of "shun anyone who leaves" that has been so generously advocated by Rus M Narcisson.

Haven't you learned yet to do the research yourself?

Sometimes exxies can't stand to go to the source themselves because of their negative experiences but can tolerate some of it that comes from others who have also been there.

For some, leaving and ignoring isn't enough - they have to work through elements of their Mormon experience via discussion or whatever means helps them.

I can relate to that.

I would in no way wish to read GC talks myself but would be interested in hearing about some of what was said and seen, as long as the analysis is by RfMers, not missionaries or Mormon leaders.

I don’t see mormonism as being a friendly religion, although some TBMs have an innate capacity to be true friends.

I think mormonism is basically a competition and ‘loving your neighbor’ is just one of the events; you don’t have to mean it, you just have to touch the bases.

My reading comprehension must be off as this thread doesn't read right to me.

I think there are more conference watchers on the exmormon reddit than here. You might want to try that site as well.

just How might that be relevant or pertinent?

Maybe OP's family is doing some shunning and OP wants to know if it was the result of a GC talk. What's it to you?

The topic is at least as pertinent/relevant as your endless Jeopardy threads, or your own recent post asking about a temple in China.
