Ringo is my favorite drummer. If all that alcohol didn't kill him, maybe he has a fighting chance with Covid. Saw him in Portland, OR years ago with his all-star band....Gary Wright, Billy Squire, Edgar Winter.....and Colin Hay (if I recall correctly)...great show, I especially liked Edgar Winter's songs as far as the guest members go.
I read that fans were very unhappy (understatement?) about his cancelled shows. I heard he was not feeling well enough to perform and thought the disgruntled fans weren't being kind. That was before the news came out about his diagnosis.
Of course he wouldn't feel up to rocking the night away while harbouring a nasty virus and besides maybe he wanted to avoid spreading it around. What a concept!
He's had to cancel all his Canadian shows, some within travelling distance of me. Maybe I'd have gone, if it was outside. Reportedly, some fans were less than pleased at all the cancellations.
But that's Life in the Time of Covid. And a missed concert is better than a stint in ICU, any day.
I hope Ringo's OK.

I was seriously thinking about it. I don't attend many events because of my mobility issues and I hate crowds but it IS Ringo after all...with Steve Lukather on guitar.
Like Rubicon, I also thought by the headlong on this post ,that he joined the church also ( Oh no, not Ringo) He was my 2nd favourite Beatle, George was my first. My sister liked Ringo the best.
