I wonder what his beef was exactly and what he meant by mafia.

The other big story with a Mormon connection and making international news today is the five police officer shooting of a 25 year old law student in Farmington Utah. Plenty to be heard on that.

Mental issues, drugs, who knows? As a minor, and probably unrelated, matter, the polygamist Kingston crime family has been nicknamed "the Mormon Mafia." I'd be astonished, but fascinated, if he did have some connection with them.

Mormon Mafia was slang referring to the Mormons in the CIA. A specific group of Mormon operatives helped take down the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.

When and how were the KR "taken down?"

I figured that there was little chance of him surviving. There is an index called the Baux score where a person's age is added to the percent of body burn. You want to be under 100. Even if he were in his 20s, his survival would have been in doubt. Nowadays apparently inhalation injury is added to the score.
