I guess the prophet is doing a great job in these the last days. Weren't the very elect to be scorned and relocate in misery?

Yeah, LDS scored at the bottom of the chart in favorability among respondents. About tied with Muslims. Evangelicals weren't setting the world on fire either. They had as many dislikes as likes. Mormons scored -10 on net favorability

A couple of interesting points - LDS was the group that felt most favorably toward other groups. They were the only group that gave Muslims a net favorable rating. LDS also thought very highly of themselves. That was not a sentiment shared by the wider world.

Three turn-offs to the public in general are (1) annoying Mormon proselytizing; (2) avoiding friendships or community associations outside of their church circle; and 3) self-righteous judgment of societal mores (medical cannabis, gay marriage, women's right to choice, and so on).

Add to the above, all of the unfavorable press TSSC has gotten for so many reasons, from homophobia, misogyny, and abuse to misrepresenting doctrinal and historical facts, and now, hiding their finances and investment practices.

SMH,

Cuz X

Some Mormons aren’t aware of how there exclusivity comes off to others!

It’s a direct result of clanishment, MoCulture, aka tribal thinking.

‘circling the wagons’ as a result of MoParanoia

I'm impressed. I thought more Americans hated atheists, but no, we're beaten by Mormons (aaah, the sinful frisson of using that word ;-) and evangelicals - which I thought was good news ;-)
