You've got to admit Joseph Smith went big. The current crop of GAs not so much.

Joseph Smith said he met God and Jesus, and made water pour out of rocks. He also produced tbe Book of Mormon. Or so be claimed.

In contrast, here is a GA 70 that believes God taught him spiritual lessons through a dead gnat, which he resurrected. This was at a youth fireside for goodness sake. I would fall away after hearing that.

Was that for real? Weird and desperate for something to talk about if true.

I have it on good (general?) authority it is. There are a lot of deepfakes out there thanks to AI, but this seems to be kosher.

I wish he'd talked about resurrectinf a kitten or a horse. Not a whiny mosquito.

'I close with this personal experience and testimony from my life. Years ago, as a college sophomore, I was studying for final exams in an apartment by myself. It was a warm day, and as I was reviewing my papers, a gnat started buzzing in front of my face. The persistence of the gnat began to really annoy me. Finally, I had enough. I raised my hands and slapped them together and killed the gnat. I cannot explain to this day what happened next: I looked down at the dead gnat in the palm of my hand and felt great compassion. I said to myself, “That gnat did not need to die. It is only dead because of my frustration and impatience.” I then knelt and prayed to God to forgive me and let that gnat live again. As I finished that prayer, the gnat flew from my hand.'

Straining for gnats?

What about all those gnats and other bugs on his windsheild as he drives down the road?

A gnat is not a mosquito.

When a little fly is trying to get a bite, I don't stop to ask its name.
