I can’t remember where I heard this, anyone ?

I remember hearing that a lot. I was always curious about it as "cleave" means to split or sever right down the middle. Makes these women sound dangerous Thus the word cleavage?

I would be curious to know if this cleave thing is from the Bible and just another bad translation, or, from some dicey as usual Mormon thing.

Turns out it's all over the Bible. Like, Genesis 2:24.

24 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

So if we take the cleave literally it sounds like the cutting in half and joining the two halves together as one. This could be an issue for those who take the Bible literally like all the fundies. And with expense of surgeons nowadays very impractical as well.

Also I take this to mean that it's against God's will to live at home once you come of age. So "Leave and Cleave" is the word!
