If my temple marriage had survived, along with my temple bride, our 50th wedding anniversary would have been in 2018. But we divorced in 1976, and she died in 2016...

Are 50th anniversaries still a big deal amongst mormons?

Does EVERY couple "celebrate" their 50th?

What might it mean if the 50th comes and goes with zero mention in/on social media, either on the part of the couple or their offspring?

Asking for a friend, and/or I gotz ta know!!

IMO they're a big deal for pretty much any couple. Most families that I know make it a celebration.

My wife and I celebrated ours with a trip to Europe. It is now so far back in the rear view mirror that 70 has become the possibility.

Seriously? This asked about the group of people who marry dead people and think only married get saved. I'm my opinion this is one of the pointless polls here.

I'll mark that down as "undecided" ...

I hit 50 years if you count my first wife.

By that methodology, EOD is about to have his 128th anniversary.

My parents had a big party thrown by my sister in the cultural hall of their ward chapel. I think the catering was done by the Relief Society....

Our 50th was during the height of COVID,no travel possible and we had a hard time finding an open restaurant to have a reasonable meal.

Kind notes and calls from friends and relatives meant more than any destination trips.

53 years and still counting.

Ooooh!  That adds some perspective!

But if you were on Facebook, was anything said there?

Don't use FB, we are rather quiet and private.

We have close friends and relatives, but definitely not social butterflies.

Ha! My fiftieth would have been 2 months ago. Never even crossed my mind until just now when you brought it up.

I guess I’m recovered from that. ;)
