I have recently received emails from people that sounded like they were written by a lawyer. In all cases those who sent them are not that educated and do not speak that way ever. And they sound like they were written by the same lawyer.

It was like receiving a letter from some hick cousin but that read like one LW wrote wherein I have to look up half the words.

I found out they just typed in what they wanted to say and ran it through that AI thing--CHAT GPT. This was disconcerting. Seems dishonest. Although that type of dishonesty may be in line with wearing too much make up.

But then I thought, if Chat GPT can make average to dull people sound highly intellectual and educated, why not run the BoM through it? What is there to lose?

Although there is the possibility that running that book through would cause the Chat GPT to overheat, sending out smoke and just before self disintegrating sending out the revised edition of the BoM that said nothing more than "WTF?"

there is AI on my computer. How does it get there? It just all of a sudden takes over and asks me to tell them what I'm looking for. I told it to go away once and it asked me something about why didn't I want them to help me.

I hate it when it pops up as it is always when I'm working.

So how did it get on my computer?

My guess is that you use MS Edge and/or the latest version of MS Office, in either case MS's IA got installed automatically with an update in the last few weeks.

You might be able to disable it if you do a search on Google or Edge on how to do it.

Is the AI speaking to you out loud? Or is it text?

Ask it to find you the Golden Plates.

Tell it that you have access to a seer stone if that will help out.

Might be a good way to screw with their algorithm ;-)

Oh, that's really funny! Ask Chat GPT to rewrite a given chapter of the BoM as if someone educated and intelligent wrote it. lol
