Do they even use the word Lamanite for anything official now? They seem to be backing away from it as part of the eventual ditching of anything relating to the BoM.

I wonder if they have plans to ditch the tribe stuff. It's weird and goofy being told what tribe you are from (or adopted by) in patriarchal blessings. Tribal stuff assignment now that we have DNA analysis is useless, and encourages divisiveness IMO.

as a practical matter 'they can't' monitor & control each & every Sunday school class or SM talk, but what they publish does have their "official' sanction, no matter how soon or how vehemently they obfuscate or deny it.

My grandparents took part in the The Indian Placement Program. My mom said they took in a boy. There is one family picture of my grandparents, my mom her siblings and him. I need to ask my mom more about that The Indian Placement Program I think they did it when they were living in Canada. I need to ask her if he got baptized. My mom's aunt and uncles family took in his sister. That way they saw each other every Sunday and went to the same school.
