When you claim "divine" authority is making you do what you would do anyway, you are in a cult.

Politics is saying what your base likes to hear. I don’t think politicians read the Bible.

Pardon me if I beg to differ. I'm quite sure that quite a few of them have read at least parts of the Bible. The trouble is, they took away from it the advice of how to gain more power over others and ignored the advice on being humble and respecting one's fellow humans.

There's no way on earth Nietzsche said that. It's far too folksy, too Farmer's Almanac.

Which bible?

The King James version had the word Tyrant banned and replaced with various softer forms like oppressor or adversary.

King James didn't want any fingers pointed directly at the crown.

Paul established the divine right of kings, said women can't pray or teach in church and slaves should not escape and should faithfully obey their masters.

Luke says anyone not obeying church leaders can be struck dead by god.

Yup, that is the way to live.

The only thing God had to say about homosexuals in the Bible was put them to death.

Leviticus 20:13 ’If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads’

Right after commanding us to kill children for cursing,

Leviticus 20:9 ‘For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death.’

So if that’s your whole worldview, you need to be locked up in an insane asylum. You are a danger to society.

A psychiatric hospital you mean?

There's a lot of terminology around mental illness that needs to be turfed. Here are a few of the updates:

Yes I suppose that’s the woke term for it.

You can call it 'woke'.

I call it medically accurate.

And kind.

As opposed to terminology used to disparage others.
