Is it considered unusual? It may be a good way to interact in a ward setting to reduce the chance of getting a calling.

I'm not sure it would make much difference since I rarely refer to myself. It could be a memorable schtick which would be a net positive.

Has anyone tried this?

I asked Lot's Wife. She considered the matter and answered that "no, you should not."

That’s three references to yourself in a sentence claiming you rarely refer to yourself. You might want to rethink the premise. :)

You could go with the royal, "we."

I think when you're sincere about the royal "We," it must be capitalized!!

I know I capitalize it in my mind when I'm ordering at In 'n Out...

In 'n Out is over rated.

Haha, I was just going to write that. I remember a famous guy who was in the hospital after surgery. "We're recovering, getting up and walking around. We're feeling much better now."

I started laughing. Who else is in your private room?

But that rude, intrusive voice I hear (which nobody else does) insists on we, us, our, and ours.

Eliminate the middleman and refer to yourself in the fifth person.

Bednar may provide guidance on this question if he ever refers to himself as Susan's Husband.

One should always refer to oneself in the third person.

Refer to yourself in the third person if you are writing a dissertation. Other than that, No. It sounds too uppity.
