Not sure how youtube’s algorithms work when I only use duck duck go for searches. Trust me. I have not been looking for luv or a facsimile thereof. Time for some computer (actually iPad) housekeeping.

Bananarama was a manufactured girl band. Like Back Street Boys or
InSync.

Made for the teenage MTV boys and their boxes of tissues. Other, real bands (male) would let them open for them because they would all sleep with those bands on tour. Talentless, MTV dancers.

Yep. But what they could wear, what you could show and how you could dance on public TV in 1969 was a whole lot different than Bananarama in 1986 on MTV.

The Mashmakhan song peaked nationally at #30 around Halloween of 1970. In some markets, including Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, it did much better. I have the track on a Various artists CD collection and I must say that I think the lyrics are rather odd for a pop song.
