I was in that mall yesterday afternoon, and the atmosphere was festive. I left about 15 minutes before the shooting started.

As I understand it, no innocent bystanders were harmed, but I’m glad I wasn’t there when it happened. The only reason I was in the mall was to kill some time between two holiday events.

Citadel Mall is a dying mall and is a haven for gang bangers. I would sometimes have lunch at that food court but the places I liked are no longer there.
