I guess I'm so young that Brenda and Peggy were before my time or something. It couldn't possibly be my memory.

Wrap her carefully in tissue so as to not break her for next year. Gently set her in the box next to baby Jesus and the donkeys. Don't forget the hooks either. Next year is only 365 days away.

Feel that Mariah needs to come out of the box in July.

I listen to a couple of radio stations that are all Christmas music all the time during the holiday season. No Mariah Carey this year. I didn't miss her.

When radio stations switch to Xmas only music (usually around Thanksgiving) I don't listen to them AT ALL until Xmas is over. There are only so many years of nonstop Xmas music I can take.

I used to feel the same way, but for the past couple of years I've been into it -- maybe because one station in particular tends to play the older recordings. I actually missed the songs once Christmas was over.

Thankfully...

when I was driving to Brigham and Corinne last week to visit my brothers. I was not in the mood for Christmas at all, but I went through the motions. All my decorations are up and my daughter and her husband finally made it home from Alaska in a huge roundabout way.

I'm so glad we haven't had much snow. Last year was so horrible and depressing. A beautiful day today and I don't do New Years. It is one of my "favorite" holidays like Valentines and mother's day, etc.

And those barking dogs singing jingle bells.

The kids were playing some sort of cowboy game...

My five-year-old galloped by me yelling, “Yippee Ki Yay!”

Instinctively, I completed the phrase...

Now he knows a new word, and boy is his mom pissed at me!

I sorta ignored it till it faded away.

What the hell happened to Festivus this year? We had no airing of grievances. This is not good work, people.
