I wrote them down with my wife and we discussed them on New Years Day.
We planned out our year. Vacations, mini-vacations, and dates.
Be bold but kind. Be honest - not just telling the truth, but calling out something that I know is wrong. I've got some professional, fitness, and financial goals.
I started taking cold showers in December 2023, and I plan to keep taking cold showers. I started with 30 seconds and got up to 2 minutes. The goal is 3 minutes minimum.
I'm working out at least 3 times a week. I plan to keep doing that.
Rather than a weight or waistline goal, my goal is to keep working out. My mantra this year is "healthspan".
Wishing you all happiness and health this year and beyond.
Mine would be that in 2024 COLCOLDS resolves to change its policies to require all church leaders to immediately report any suspicions of child abuse to the appropriate agencies. No exceptions.
Asking the universe "What do you want from me?" definitely has left me observing everything with a bit more amazement and the newfound ability to remark with a simple "Wow!" once again.
Definitely. We find out in about 5 months whether I need bariatric surgery. Family does not think I can handle it emotionally, and end up with body size issues. Body dysmorphia, is what I think it's called.
Also, I am an emotional eater, which would very very bad post surgery.
I lost the weight before, but I never did it for my liver. I also have Advanced Fibrosis of the liver.

Reference: Driving to my In-laws my wife and I would pass a small slaughter house. Amongst the fences and gates holding those ever present cattle, were one or two piles of cow manure that had been piled about 6 feet high by a tractor for eventual disposal.
Every time there was one out of the entire herd present that stood atop the tallest and largest pile of poo.
So to interject some humor, we all are part of the herd, but who is going to climb atop that pile of poo? Since in the end we all end up as a pile of dust.
Of course Brother Golden, as I thoughtfully begin to recall that one particular message, may we still be considered as one part of the larger whole?
If I remember correctly some are the feet, others are not unlike the hands. Still some have become the legs carrying much of the heavy load.
After all of the various roles are maybe taken it may allow only a clear chance to serve in maybe the one position not as forthcoming to the other positions already received.
