Has anyone asked Rusty why Doctrine and Covenants 107:2-4 does not apply to the name of the church in the same manner as it applies to the name of the Higher Priesthood?


2 Why the first is called the Melchizedek Priesthood is because Melchizedek was such a great high priest.

3 Before his day it was called the Holy Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God.

4 But out of respect or reverence to the name of the Supreme Being, to avoid the too frequent repetition of his name, they, the church, in ancient days, called that priesthood after Melchizedek, or the Melchizedek Priesthood.

Mormons say the name of the church way more often than they reference the Higher Priesthood. It seems to me that Rusty is asking the world to take the name of Jesus in vain...

Rusty outlived all the competition to become the boss. "Mormon Church" happened to be his pet peeve so guess what?

If the leader of your religion claims that his personal pet peeve is the literal will of God…you might be in a cult.

First, mormons don't know their own scriptures.

Second, mormons believe a living prophet can cancel sll dead prophets.

I came to this conclusion by using the exact same argument eith my TBM family.

Mormons are led around by the nose, eventually to their own slaughter.

If they are worried about frequent repetition of his name, they should quit having so many prayers. When I was a kid it was the following every day.....

Personal morning prayer
Family morning prayer
Breakfast prayer
Lunch Prayer
Dinner Prayer
Family evening prayer
Personal evening prayer
On Sunday add all the prayers they say at the meetings
On Monday add opening and closing FHE prayers
On Wednesday add all the prayers they say at MIA or Primary

Mormon god needs a lot of attention.
