"BOISE (Idaho Statesman) — An Idaho lawmaker wants to expand a law that bans cannibalism over fears about a rise in human composting.

Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, introduced a bill Thursday to expand the state’s cannibalism ban and told a legislative committee that she’s worried about the possibility that people are eating other people.

Scott said she was on an airplane over the summer and watched a clip from a television show displaying a chef feeding human flesh in sausage to contestants, which inspired her to do something about it. The clip, which she sent to the Idaho Statesman, is from a TruTV prank show, in which they pretend to feed people flesh."

You can put it on your gravestone. There was an old graveyard from the 1800s close to where I grew up, and I used to like to walk through there and read the gravestones. The people back then didn't pull any punches. They told it like it was.

She is retired, but is teaching reading at one of the schools. But Idaho is losing a lot of the people they need because of their weird ideas.

Teachers, physicians and nurses, and librarians. I'm sure the majority of Idaho citizens don't care. They probably figure that anyone can stand in front of a classroom and teach. Even for teachers who come through the alternative certification programs (where the preparation is less than what they would get through a regular program, i.e. Teach for America,) the success rate is only about 20%. Idaho's new "teachers" will last a year or two at best. Good luck with that.

Why is it that many people from California, Oregon and Washington are moving to Idaho.... and over half of Oregon, area wise, wants to merge with Idaho?

It’s a liberal plot so we can get all the yahoos in one place so the aliens can come and beam them up for the requisite probing.

Idaho produces a ton of chemicals (Simplot) and dumps tons of chemicals (agriculture) into the aquifer. Environmental concerns are an uphill battle here. Surprise.

Micron manufactures electronic stuff which seems to be a positive. Of course, we have potatoes. Lots of potatoes. It's hard to tell some of the people from some of the potatoes sometimes.

In Idaho Falls, we have lots of Mormon farmers growing grain for beer, so that's a win win maybe.

If/when I make it to the US, I have every intention of visiting Idaho in the hope that, when someone asks me what attracted me to the state, I can reply "I came for the cannibalism".

That's transubstantuation, a doctrine kf the Roman Catholic and various Orthodox churches. In the LDS defense, it is not a doctrine of theirs. Mormons do it in remembrance of Jesus. Their main theological crime is exchanging wine for water (a reversal of What Jesus Did)

Their religion is like their sacrament. White bread that compresses to nothing when you squeeze it.

So, today in Idaho news, our legislators were busy trying to complicate and contradict things as usual. They want to expand the death penalty for certain sex crimes against children. They are doing it to "protect the children."

Who knows if it will go anywhere.

Who is going to tell them this isn't pro life.
Who is going to tell them religious leaders might be the ones committing sex crimes. (I don't think they've caught on to this yet.)
Who is going to tell them their gun laws are a bigger risk to children.
Who is going to tell them that they can't protect the rapist's rights when a minor gets pregnant while at the same time sending him to death row. They seem confused.

I suspect the legislators like to get together and talk about lurid sex stuff. Maybe they can eat the people they send to be killed as refreshments.

Several years ago the Idaho legislature defunded Planned Parenthood which had been providing women's counseling, family planning and reproductive health services.

I happened to be driving through, listening to a radio call-in program with a legislator taking questions. The caller asked now that the legislature has cut off the provider of what were considered essential services, what provision has the legislature made to provide an alternate source for these services?

The legislator must have been caught off-guard, because he didn't have a good (i.e. misleading) answer ready. He simply said there is no plan for an alternate source for the services. A refreshing bit of honesty, even if he simply lurched into it.

Good example.
They unintentionally say what they are actually doing on a regular basis! While trying to spin things and stick to their talking points, they accidentally come out and say the most alarming things. Even more alarming is that the people don't seem to care. They know what they are supposed to be against, and darn it, they are sticking to it.

Just like they were all so hot to get rid of "Obama Care" and STILL have nothing to replace it with.

That's how they handle most things. There is inadequate long term planning for starters. It doesn't occur to them what consequences their decisions will have when doctors and teachers leave. They seem surprised.
