https://widowsmitereport.wordpress.com/2023update/

It's 29 pages.

Some highlights:
Reportable investments up $6.1 billion over the start of 2023, to $50.5 billion

Widow's Mite estimated total value of the church at $265 billion, $182 billion in investments, and $83 billion in operating assets (church buildings, farms, educational assets like BYU)

The $182 billion in investments includes an estimated $32 billion in real estate (which does not include church "operating assets")

SLTrib has an article, but it is paywalled. The Widowsmitereport link is open to everyone.

How can anyone who ever sees this information ever give a cent to the LDS? From all I have learned here, they pressure attendees/members to give, to donate supplies, to volunteer to clean, to put on a smiling face - but when it comes to actual good works done with the Church's plentiful money, nada. Zip. Zilch. "Sorry, member in need, nothing for you....but pay, pray and obey some more."

They know Jesus is going to need all that money and more, when he returns in glory, or else other sovereigns won't respect him.

I'm not really kidding...

If current church leaders, who are all my age and older, learned their Millennial theories in their youth, then they 'know' that when Jesus returns, amid all the Armageddon goings-on, the leaders of the nations of the world won't recognize him.  They'll just see a very roughed-up world, with a fractured United States...

Without the 'worldly assets' held by the church, Jesus' new kingdom wouldn't get the respect it deserves.

...I'm not kidding!

When is a good magician going to grow long hair, dress up like Jesus, walk into the COB, perform some "miracles", and ask for some spending money?

If he dresses like Jesus then they won’t let him in.

Agreed.

Bolo ties and sombreros are against the dress code.

When a former member of our ward returned to town on vacation he was hailed as our greatest success because he was working for the Church. WOW!

Then, he shared what he was doing. His job was to get members to bequeath to the Church in their wills. What a parasite!

The report does point out that in the nations where total church income is publicly reported (Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, and a few others) the average contribution per member has been declining.

BILLIONS. WTF?!

That’s rather a lot of money.

I can barely grasp the concept of one billion - a THOUSAND million.

Almost makes my brain implode.

The worst part of it is that most of that money is sitting there doing nothing. It could be invested into worthwhile enterprises.

This is the cause of high depression rates in the Intermountain West.
Since the beginning of this religion, members have constantly been used and taken advantage of by LDS leaders.

Mormonism is a constant drain on our well being.
And this is also the reason Utah women continue to be rated last in equality issues.

In my head, I always hear billions and billions in Carl Sagan's voice. lol
Even though it was Johnny Carson that said it.
