Maybe they'll try to plead it down to a misdemeanor like J-walking or a traffic infraction (most traffic in Washington state aren't 'criminal', some DUI, impaired with MJ, etc.) driving alone in the car-pool lane isn't taken lightly however!!

Yes, it's genuinely horrible. It made me ponder that law enforcement officers, social workers, etc. see so much of the dark side of society that the rest of us are mostly spared.
