Dear Peggy Stack and all the rest of the people who might be reporting on the upcoming GC: They will say a whole bunch of pleasing things. we condemn abuse, that wort of thing (as if anybody would ever say that they condone abuse or any other bad thing). (1) Nobody will ever direct their remarks to the church members. The whole job of the leaders is to reassure the rank and file that they are doing everything 100% right. We all kn ow what happened the last time somebody tried that. I'm referring to Ronald Poelman. And (2) Please stop interpreting anything as heralding a new phase for the LDS church. See (1) above. To try to implement anything new would first require the Q-15 to explain to the membership that the membership is not doing everything 10% correctly. It ain't gonna happen. Ever. To repeat: every GC talk will be a whole lot of using lots of words to explain that the church has absolutely no reason to change.
