Hit can they report that they follow accepted practices when they were just fined by the SEC for lying on their reports?

I'm confused about this dichotomy.

It’s a ridiculous annual rite they repeat at General Conference every April. Their own auditors determine that everything has been done according to their standards.

“We checked ourselves, and everything is cool.”

When a religion\society has convinced themselves "they are the chosen ones".

No matter what you say, show, prove, point out, and give examples.

They are still chosen, and thus can do no wrong. Unless it is when you are speaking as a man.

Sure we all get it on this platform, but be assured...they do not.

They didn't lie on their reports. They didn't file the SEC reports. They did lie about whether they needed to file SEC reports.

And yeah, a financial report that says "we audited ourself and decided we were doing everything just right" is a joke of a financial report. Other countries are not nearly as squeamish as the US about holding churches financially accountable.

Agreed, but it serves their purpose to prop-up their claimed credibility...

Lots of 'jokes' aren't funny, this one included;

Anyone who's operated a business or even filled out a 1040 knows that this 'report' is utterly worthless;

Any MO who uses or 'thinks' this report (do they call it an audit?) enhances their testimonkey or the GAs cred is sadly mistaken, But the indoctrination makes it so...
