Anyone know anything about Eclipse Glasses LLC in Provo?

They ran a big campaign on FB to have people donate their used eclipse glasses so they can give them to kids in Latin America for the August 2024 eclipse.

Being in Provo, I wondered if missionaries from BYU are now going to be taking potential converts to see the eclipse.

Made me think of Japan’s baseball dunking scandal.

I'm on the fence in this one.

If the donated glasses, often a plastic film set in a cardboard frame is damaged/scratched it would cause more harm than good.

My glasses clearly stated nit to use after three years.

I think if the glasses are carefully screened before and after shipping, they'd be ok, but I highly doubt that would happen.
