Joseph Smith in his description of the angel Moroni/Nephi stated that he could see the bossom of the angel under his robe, hence no garments for angels.

Nor was Moroni/Nephi wearing a green apron or bakers hat.

The story behind garments is someone making a profit. I know these people.
