Google News offered me a choice of three stories regarding the introduction of the former AZ hockey team to fans at the Delta Center.

It was a nice story, kind of heart warming, even!

But there was no mention regarding who, of all the possibilities, gave the opening and closing prayers at the Delta Center.

There's also mention of the players wives being given a tour the locale and being "excited" about stuff they were shown...  I wonder how many were peppered with MLM offers?

Is there a noticeable difference between real beer and Utah's 3.2 beer?

We've always had "real beer". You just had to buy it in a State liquor store at high prices (and room temp-no refrigeration). It was 3.2 sold cold in grocery and convenience stores. they finally changed that law and we've been able to buy regular (5.0% alcohol or less) for 2+ years. They didn't change it over some uncommon sense of reality or magnanimous capitulation to Utah drinkers. It was because major beer makers were discontinuing 3.2 beer production and the big grocery stores and gas stations wouldn't be able to sell beer. It would be a huge loss of sales and taxes to Utah government. So the mormon alcohol Gestapo backed off for the sake of $$$$

5.0 is the limit?

5.0 is the limit that we can buy in grocery stores, at comparable national prices. If we buy higher point beers, like a Belgium 11% beer, we have to buy it, warm, at the State store at an expensive markup. Priced per bottle or can, say $2.70 per can/bottle. No discounts for larger quantities like a 12 Pk. or case. Just $2.70 per unit.

I can’t even.

I rarely drink, but when I do, I’m going for the hoppy stuff or an Anchor Steam porter if I can find it. Sierra Nevada’s Sunny Little Thing is my summertime fave.

Are the mark ups high in bars?
