Since scientists discovered that more than 98% of chimpanzee dna is EXACTLY the same as human dna, they have concluded that we share a common ancestor that was neither a chimp or a human.

BYU scholar’s certainly must be aware of this determination.

I would suggest, then that BYU scholars with their extended intellect will conclude that:

only 98% of the chimpanzees need to be baptized.

On a positive note, it would keep them busy for a very long time!

Won't happen. Chimps are too smart to fall for mormonism.

The MTC could teach sign language and chimp-friendly discussion techniques. If a chimp played his cards right, he could be called as an apostle.

So a mouse is 90% genetically identical to a human, are 90% of mice needing baptism? What about bananas? We share 50% of our DNA with bananas, do half of the bananas need baptizing and can we baptize them in chocolate?

We share 70% of our DNA with earthworms, but they just won't pay their damn tithing.

The 2% is all the difference between the ISS, the Louvre and the Panama Canal on the one hand, and small gangs of undressed creatures which can't even cook their own food or hold a decent conversation.

It also proves that DNA is not the only factor in human civilization. Culture, education and literacy are all key.
