My cousin coming home early from his mission....because of porn

My other cousin is gay...because of porn

Another relative and his alcoholism...porn did it

If you have a problem or a lifestyle that some don't agree with, it's because you like porn.

Easy peasy way to figure things out. Porn did it.

Agree one hundred percent...it's the easiest way out of an argument these days for some TBMs

HA! Every TBM woman I know who has gotten a divorce blames it on her husband looking at porn. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I know a woman that has divorced 3 different men the instant she found out they looked at porn. All 3 temple marriages. Her reasoning was once men start this they don't stop so I'm cutting my loses now and getting out. Very sad way to live your life, but w/e.

When you teach people to always think like children and that everything is black and white and simplistic, there must be a simplistic answer for everything.

Why do nations rise and fall? They worship god and then they don't.

Why do Mormons apostatize? Sin!

How was the universe and earth created? God.

How do you find happiness in life? Keep the commandments.

Got eight hours of solid sleep last night and woke up feeling refreshed.

Porn did it.

I'm with you. If I go too long without releasing the valve I can't sleep AT ALL. It starts to effect everything in my life and just makes me miserable.

Actually, I don't look at porn. I do think it is a problem if you replace your sex life with it though.

After I posted that I realized my humor might be lost on most. I was responding to the OP. I thought it was funny.

I don't look at much porn either but I don't care about people who often look at grown men and women engaging in consensual acts. I do not believe that porn causes what they think it causes. I think it is an effect and not a cause.

Yeah I wasn't sure either if you were responding to me or OP. Thanks for clarifying.

I thought this was going to be about the way the Mormon leadership tries to control the members internet usage. Blame all the evils of the world on porn and blame porn on the internet and presto! People are afraid to go anywhere on the internet that isn't a church approved or obviously safe (Disney.com) site. Pretty soon there will be an all Mormon or Mormon/Christian internet that has extreme filters to keep anti-Mormon stuff classed with pornography. Bye bye to freedom of speech.

As of now it's still optional whether or not you want to have filtered content, it's a selling point for many Utah base ISPs. google it, you'll find plenty of ads:

http://www.fiber.net/filtering.php

*But they really have tried to filter 'bad' content in Utah!!!*

Maybe Mormons really do have a problem with porn. If so, I hope they can get the help they say they need. Try to keep your problems in your own state though, okay? The rest of us don't want or need a virgin porn czar.

I cannot think of anything more degrading or humiliating than the thought of subjecting myself to their line of thinking.

I blame porn...
For the amazing growth and availability of the Internet. "Everyone likes porn!"

For revitalizing sex lives everywhere.

For educating people who where never taught anything realistic about sex.

"Porn" has a lot of different types. Some are better than others, but as long as it is done by consenting adults and filmed legally, who cares?

a lot of guys have at least look at a little porn so it's the omnipresent patsy. Odds are .. guys who do things the Church doesn't like.

Also a lot of women don't love the idea of their man looking at other women— somewhat understandable— so the Church knows it has a willing ally.

I blame porn for making me realize that no matter how normal and intelligent and interesting my s/o seemed, she was still brainwashed and conditioned by the cult. See, I know a guy and he's a good friend. A really good friend for a very long time. Well it turns out that he liked the less legal version of porn with the younger than 18 stars. And he got arrested for it and I was upset about it, because that's just not something you expect to find out about someone you've known forever. So I'm talking to the s/o about it just telling her that I don't know what to think or what to say to him, and then the Morg indoctrination kicked in and she starts telling me all about how porn is evil and it's more addictive than alcohol or drugs and it destroys lives.

I know she was trying to help, but it's not porn's fault that my friend was sexually aroused by adolescents. The fact that she couldn't see the difference between kiddie porn and regular porn and just threw them both into the same "EVIL" pile was disturbing. I felt like she didn't even understand what I was trying to deal with because all she could focus on was PORN and how it was EVIL. Porn is NOT addicting. People develop obsessions towards it, sure. I had a crazy ex that was obsessed/addicted to me too... That doesn't mean I'm addicting. No one twitches and sweats and feels like they're going to die because they went cold turkey off of porn.

My Brother and Sister In Laws are addiction recovery missionaries in their ward. All they ever talk about is pornography. You can't have a conversation about anything without one of them talking about the evils of porn. And people in their addiction recovery support group or class or whatever it is are always calling them with all of their problems. One time I overheard her saying "you need to ask yourself...would you be wearing that if Jesus were in the room?" OMG why wouldn't Jesus be interested in some sexy lingerie??? ;)

Porn is fantastic

Porn has led the technological revolution

Polaroids, Home videos cameras, video players, DVD's.... Porn has had a hand (ooh err) in making them the success they have become.

face it.... without sex & porn, the internet would be a text based world of bulletin board chat session, devoid of pictures and graphics where people..... errr.... talked about religion.... err... and recovery from religion...... ????!!!

With skill. God help you if you're learning your moves from porn.
