LDS Missionaries Told to Blog?

They all seem to post similar information (find links to more blogs in the bio), and the same videos. I wonder how this really works 'behind the scenes.' The sltrib article indicates they have 'monitors' who watch what is posted and keep the missionaries in-line. Spooky.
