It isn't the style of most of the Mormons I know either. I had one that was a testimony of sort, but it was from someone I haven't seen since high school and I didn't really know him well.It was more of "I'm thankful for my mom who taught me to love the BofM' thing than it was an actual testimony. He didn't get much of a response either. Other than that, it has been quiet.I hope it stays that way.
I have always wondered the same thing MJ. It must be said though in Mormonism because that is part of brainwashing. Other mainstream churches do NOT brainwash so this is never heard in our churches. Frankly I don't care what anyone else in my church believes. It is none of my business and I am not there to promote my beliefs. Mormons have to speak up. They must continually talk about it.... so sick!
I was looking to see if our Mormon relatives had posted anything, and came across the site "Lds missionaries" on Facebook. It's about as freaky as you'd expect.
"Today I went to the Temple. If you don't know what that is, it is the most wonderful place on the earth. As close to Christ as you can feel, in most normal circumstances anyway. And it was wonderful. These kinds of temples are unique to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are very special and wonderful. And I just thought I'd share that with y'all."
