They look thin and exhausted. I'm going to buy them some food.

Poor kids are starving. I bought them two sandwiches each. They just vanished. They are both sound asleep now. :-( Stupid cult. I remember when that was me 31 years ago.

That we are waiting for them here to welcome them back to real life, real history, and to their recovery process!

When you say goodbye, tell them to remember that an apostate thought enough of them to buy them food.

They will think that over for quite a few years.

So, what happened? Did you tell them that an apostate bought them food?

Yeah, I pity missionaries. Except the self-righteous ones.

I have a soft spot in my heart for all of them. They don't know they are being brainwashed.

I have a soft spot for them as well. They are only doing what they have been taught/brainwashed to do. And they are just kids.

When they knock on my door I invite them in, get them something to drink, feed them, let them relax, etc. Through the course of our discussion I hope to "plant a seed" with them. With some I can tell that I do, with others not. I encourage them to stop by anytime, to use my computer, watch TV, drive somewhere, or for dinner. I want them to leave my house scratching their heads saying "Damn, Bro. Happy would be a great Bishop". Haaaa haaaa.

I also treat them kindly because in a year or so my son will be deciding if he should serve a mission or not. I am betting he will go. He is not as strong as I was/am. So when he is gone I hope he will run into other "soft hearted" folks like myself, and TWF.

Follow up...(sorry about the delay):

When the flight landed one of the lads thanked me heartily. I shook his hand, looked him on the eye, and said "Don't believe everything you hear about apostates and exmormons, we're not all bad." I wish I could have photographed their faces. The guy across the aisle smiled broadly and gave me a thumbs-up. I wonder if he posts here? :-)

I hope you get to engage them in a little convo after they have their little siesta!

Onboard WiFi rocks. $8 per flight or $30 per month oz worth it to me. Very fast too.

I had heard Internet access was coming on flights, but I did not know when it started or how to get it. Share details if you can. is it pricey, do you pay as part of your ticket?

I was so excited to read your post. I am flying to Europe in November, and I would love to get online during the flight.
thanks for any details.

I wish i had been next to you on my flight home from Mexico. Instead, I was next to a family that wouldn't shut up about how great that I had been there doing "the work".
All I wanted was to relax for a few hours before getting home and dealing with the family circus, and I couldn't even do that.
