If Joseph Smith was in the grove next to his family farm and saw a light brighter than the sun descending over the trees (so bright in fact, he thought the trees might catch fire), how come no one else noticed it; he was a from a large family, and they couldn't ALL have been away for the day.

Oh well, I guess the same thing happened when Moroni/Nephi lit up the packed bedroom with his Heavenly Mag Lite and nobody else woke up........

I always thought it was because it was meant for JS only so everybody else was blinded to that vision

I used to ask, how come his mother and father didn't noticed he was gone to the grove and went looking for him? I thought he would have been gone for a while.

Similarly JS's brother's did not see Moroni when he kept appearing over and over in JS's bedroom.
