One popular criticism of the Book of Mormon has been that it's reference to Jeremiah being in prison is anachronistic, since the Bible mentions this occurring in the 10th year of Zedekiah, which would have been after Lehi and Nephi had departed from Jerusalem.

Apologists counter that the Bible mentions Jeremiah being imprisoned more than once, and released in between these imprisonings. They contend that Jeremiah's first imprisonment was at the beginning of Zedekiah's reign, before Lehi and Nephi would have departed.

Are the apologists correct on this point? Is this a criticism that should be abandoned, or are there holes in the apologist's arguments?
