I'm around sometimes. I tried to post like 2 days ago but my internet failed at the last minute, which was sad, and I didn't feel like writing the whole thing out again.
but yeah. I went and moved to england, so I guess I did sort of disappear.
I'm a around...Just crazy busy with different projects. I don't know that I'd ever have a "so long RfM" post. Because when you invariably post again later it seems kinda silly.
Hope everyone is doing well. I've been trying to find out some info on some weird religious business in Washington St. for a friend. Thanks, all, for your answers.
In an old hymn my mother sang to drive my Dad crazy. It was also sang by the grandmother in "The Southerner" an old movie about sharecroppers in the South.
AND deb--remember deb, the one who almost converted?
And Tiffany. She left about the time flattop did.
I always think I'll get past being on here--but I come here for entertainment more than anything anymore. I've looked for other places to spend my time when I'm bored with work and I've yet to find one as interesting to read. I don't do facebook.
When I post stuff I want my family to see, I don't get any response. A bunch of people I have never met "like" me.
I get interesting "shares" from people I don't know but seem interesting.
tons of people seem to love sharing cat pictures. Without a cat, this seems pointless.
My oldest daughter who never calls me posts regularly and it's nice to know what's going on in her life (here's the cake I baked, how do you like my hair pink, etc). And I see photos, but beyond that I'm kind of mystified as to why people like it.
Is it a dating thing?
Is it more for clubby people to coordinate activities and such?
It is nice to let people you meet online see what you look like and what your interests are, I guess. But you could do that with email and it would be personal. I guess I don't get the impersonality of it.
