Christianity believes that Christ is God incarnate, that he died and was resurrected, and that this action was necessary for the salvation of all humans.

That God does not accept souls into heaven unless they have been baptized and accept the changing power of Christ into their lives.

That people must participate in a ritual acceptance of Christ by taking into their bodies a representation of Christ’s body, and blood.

They believe that God spoke to the ancestral inhabitants of Canaan and chose them to be his people. That he changed his mind after he came to earth in the form of Jesus and they killed him. That he wanted them to kill him, since that was the only way to save his children.

God requires adoration and respect and is offended when it is not properly given. He also gets pissed when you don’t talk to him, he however is not under any requirement to talk back to you.

That humanity is in a fallen and evil state that requires salvation.

God is all good, powerful, present, and knowing, however is unable or unwilling to stop evil things from happening.

That the appropriate way to combat people who wish to lead the flock astray is to shun and embarrass them. (I’m glad they don’t kill people anymore for heresy.)

Last of all, God knew that he wasn’t inclined to have regular conversations with his children so he revealed the most important things to know to men who then created the Bible.

Even better than a representation is the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox belief that the bread and wine become the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ in some substantial way. It's not a symbol or representation for them, its the real thing. No wonder the early Christians were accused of cannabilism by their pagan opponents. Eat God to become gods.

That one doesn't seem too strange to me. Something is obviously wrong with humanity and the world we have created for ourselves. And I don't think all of the blame for that can be laid at the foot of religion. Alot of our bad behavior is hardwired in our genes. We can thank evolution for that - it's survival of the fittest not the nicest.

The silly part is that a perfect creator made such an imperfect creation then blamed the creation.

It is a requirement in mainstream Christianity that humanity be evil. Putting aside the fall of Adam, if we were not horrible people we would have no need of Christ.
