Question about article in Parade Magazine about Mitt (not political)

The article stated that Mitt served a 30 month mission in France. Is that correct? I'm trying to remember if 6 months were training for language -- French in this case. Was it really a 30 month mission then? or two year?

Also need to know what the amount of the "new mall" is costing now. 2 billion? I can't find that info on search here.

Foreign language missions were 2 1/2 years.

I don't know if he spent time learning French at the MTC, but for Spanish-speaking destinations it was usually 3 months out of the 30 for language training.

Don't rely on Parade for information. It's a pathetic publication and the shallowness of the report on Romney clearly demonstrates that fact.

I did chuckle a bit when the writer asked Ann Mitt drank when he needed some energy since he didn't drink coffee. "Hot Chocolate" was the reply...It just sounded so corny.

Back when Mitt went, if you went to a foreign language speaking mission it was 30 months. I think that changed in the 70s.

My FIL is a TBM to the gills and was enamored with the article. He was so impressed that Mittens paid tithing on his millions.

Yikes.
