Still as messed up as ever. Mormonism has a looooooooong way to go to be in the mainstream. The tolerance and freedoms found in the Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, and Methodist churches completely escape Mormonism.
For starters they need to:
1. End the missionary program 2. Stop excommunicating those that question 3. Dump the Book of Mormon and the crazy attempts to claim it is some form of actual history
It is mainstreaming. I've heard from a friend who is good friends with the son of a GA that within 20 years the homosexual ban will end just like the black thing in the seventies. I predict within at least 50 years that instead of magic underwear there will instead be a magic handkerchief that members carry with them to remind them of their covenants. Also, if you remember how they put steeples on all of their churches to maybe confuse people it was a regular protestant church.

Yeah, trade the totally bogus BoM for the less bogus Bible.
This morning I finally got around to watching the SNL Tim Tebow skit. Mormonism is still a punchline and not taken seriously by most. It still has a way to go before it's regarded as a mainstream religion.
