Gifts - a matter of respect??? For 'Just Being Nice'

Just being nice - well, there are those whom we have known and have had friendships with that really are - 'just being nice', however, when someone has asked specifically for 'no contact' then vague acquaintances or someone you don't know comes to your door with 'a message' and a treat is plain flat arrogant and rude and deserves all the disdain the receiver wishes to impart. Respect is key here and for some reason Mor(m)on's don't seem to get it - they think if they bring 'a pineapple' all will be ok and the gift will be welcomed. It's really IMO a matter of respect for the wishes of the individual.
