I've never been through temple as an adult. (only 12 year old doing dunking for the dead)

I need a name. Any ideas?

My TBM brother in law always called me "that girl".........but it's not a name. hmmmmmmmmmmm

I do like the name Eve. But apparently it's taken. :) Can only be one Eve, right? (wrong)

It was either David, Daniel or Dan. Can't remember. Don't mind saying, since it guarantees me a slot in the Telestrial Kingdom, the funnest of the three kingdoms.

Yes it was Timothy. 1974 Logan Temple. Another Greek name that shouldn't be in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi.

AnonyMs, Eve is a great name to adopt as your temple name if you didn't go through! It is always used as the alternative women's name, just in case your real name is the same as the endowment name for that particular day. For example, my temple name was Deborah, the same as every other woman around the world who took out her endowments that day. If by chance my real name had also coincidentally been Deborah, then they would have assigned my temple name to be Eve. So go ahead and use Eve! Excellent idea!

If you went through the temple it was right after they felt you up with oil and water while you wore a sheet.

Who would choose your temple name?

Was their some kind of "formula" to come up with a temple name? Or did some bishop just throw a dart at a dart board with a bunch of names?

What about places where they speak non-Indo European languages? Do they assign temple names that were from Child Molester Joe Smith's Book Of Fables? Or are temple names in the local language?

Mens names are from the Bible and Book of Mormon.

For women, since there are less women mentioned in those texts, the list of names is suplemented with names of promenent early mormon women.

The name is based on the temple and day you go, if that name is your actual name then your 'new name' is Adam or Eve.

Eve! New Year's Eve!

My temple name can be anonymous, too! I don't want to die and be called by my wife-beater temple husband.

Happy New Year, and thanks for the new new name!

Does anyone know if the temple names are the same in all countries?
