I was a casual aquaintance of that missionary and his fam. They were a bit odd and I remember him as a rather geeky nerdish type. It surprised me that she could be so obsessed with him!
A couple of years ago, I read and reviewed Anthony Delano's book Joyce McKinney and the Case of the Manacled Mormon. The book was written kind of like a tabloid piece... it was lurid, yet weird!
I saw him from a distance at church in London and thought he was v handsome. He didn't seem a nerd but maybe the suit helped. Plus I was very young at the time so didn't have a well defined nerd radar then.
