Has anyone else ever been struck by the similarity of the Jesus story to Lieutenant Kije?

I've never heard of Lieutenant Kije, but I'm topping because we need some more variety on the 1st page.

Do a little googling of Lt. Kije. Interesting story.

The "Tuttle episode" of M*A*S*H is good, too.
