Well, another year, another cousin gone, another LDS funeral to attend. I always go to support the family, and to represent my branch of it. Some of them are preachy but some are just warm and loving rememberences of the loved one who is gone. Those are the ones I cherish. This time it's a cousin with whom I share a birth year so it's sobering....Southwestern Alberta & Cancer...."first cousins" it seems.....

...and yes, I know that is a horribly inadequate thing to say.

It was a very loving, warm and thoughtful service. Another cousin (brother of the deceased) did a bit O' preaching at the end but not over the top....and the musical tributes and fond memories from her children were wonderful.....they are my family and I love them dearly, TBM or not....seems like there's a funeral every year...too often....happens when you hit your 60's....

I live in S.W. AB. as well. I hear you on the cancer part. Way to many affected.

Yes, southbound....Hillspring/Glenwwod area.... many families devastated by the big "C".....glad I didn't grow up there....
