This time of year I always get a hoot out of looking at the "three kings" from the east (Orion's belt) as they follow the star in the western sky (Sirius).

The evidence, at least on a clear night, is right above everyone (at least in the northern hemisphere). Take a look for yourself this "holiday" season.

Believe what you will, but the stars don't lie. Hey, those guys had to do something at night with no TV.....

I wonder if these stories were myths designed as memory aids to learn the positions of the stars.

I've always liked Orion's Belt, the three stars in a line at the horizon, though I didn't know it's name until I was an adult. It seems to be the pattern that the three great pyramids in Egypt were built with the two large and the one smaller not quite in an exact line.
