Awesome! Thanks for the heads up, and I don't know if you caught it but there was a bit from one of Jon Stewart's guests tonight where he showed a clip of Rick Santorum explaining how rape was no excuse to have an abortion, instead its like God's way of showing us that there's a gift that needs to be treasured that comes out of it. It's about learning to make the best out of a bad situation. Then after the clip the guy says, it's that kind of thinking that will probably cost Rick Santorum the nomination, but if we take that kind of reasoning to its logical extreme, we can see that even though Republicans don't want Mitt Romney as their candidate, God has kind of put him up as a gift for the party!

I love Stephen Colbert. He's definitely on my list. Remember on Friends when they all made lists of 5 celebrities they were allowed to sleep with? Stephen is right on the top of mine because nothing is sexier than a guy who can make a girl laugh.
You & me both CA girl! Actually my daughter loves Colbert too. You'll have to fight us for him ;P Seriously though, it really does illustrate how simultaneously absurd and insulting this whole thing is. And nobody does theater of the absurd better than Colbert.
I loved it!!!!! I was laughing or taking my chin off the floor the whole way through. It is just like prophesied here on the board that the media would start delving into the the weirdness of the religion.
He gave no respect what so ever. He only said how strange it was. The audience loved it.
Mormons are going to see this, or in the very least hear about it. What are they going to be saying on Sunday? I'd go to church just to hear it.
If anyone goes to church on Sunday, please return and report!!!
I'm a never mo and I posted the video on Facebook. One non-mo friend commented that it creeps her out and is there a "Do Not Baptize" list she can get on? I said it doesn't bother because I don't believe it, but it does make me mad mormons aren't listening to the Jews.
Then some random mormon "friend" I haven't talked to in two years posts a link to mormon dot org about why people baptize the dead. I decide not to engage her. Just the other day she posted a Rick Santorum video I thought was offensive, but I didn't say anything.
Couple of things... 1. I wish everyone I know would post it, but they won't out of fear of mormons 2. I want to start a facebook "Do not Baptize" group 3. Did the mormon even watch it before commenting? Did no one see the satire in Colbert (who is a genius)?
Thanks for letting me vent because outside of "Little Provo" people don't get it.
DW lives for Colbert. We'd recorded it to watch tonight. She laughed in spite of herself, as she usually does any time Jay the Intern is involved in the sketch. It was funny when he had the guy move the hot dog down to table level and then popped the "foreskin" into his mouth. Ain't no one funnier than Colbert.
