Mormonism isn't required

When you ask about what happens to people who haven't received the Gospel in this life Mormonism answers by saying that's okay, people get an opportunity to receive it in the next life.

So,
Why not wait till then?

If you accept Mormonism in this life you lose 10% of your income, you gain a shed load of additional unpaid work, you get lumped into being 'friends' with people you don't relly know and may not like, you get ostracized by non member family and friends, you get made to feel guilty about a whole load of stuff etc etc.

There is no upside to Mormonism in this life, so wait till the next...

Even when I was an active member, I thought about this and secretly wished I would be one of those who got to hear the gospel in the next life...for all the reasons you pointed out!

I think mormons expect to get a leg up on eternal progression.

Accomplishing mormon goals in life means there's a better chance of high achievement in the afterlife.

I don't think morst mormons would assume that a GA starts out on equal footing after death with someone who has yet to be dead dunked.
