"Mormon church blocks whistle-blower’s access to proxy baptism data"

So, rather than fix the broken system, let's hide the data, problem solved!

Instead they behave in this kind of paranoid way that makes them look even guiltier.

It's too late for the spin-masters to stop this one. Thanks to our exmo heroine Helen Radkey, the Truth has triumphed!

Funny. I've been accessing "restricted" names, and I'm not family. Yet, I'm not blocked. Hmmmm....

From a comment by DB: "virtual zombie baths"

LOL, that was a new one for me.

They are my parents generation in their 70's and 80's.
That's how my parents handle anything that doesn't look good.
Don't talk about it.
Pretend that never happened.
Make up a happier better story.
Deny every thing.
Lie if it works.
Try to put the fear in anyone who doesn't agree.
Get people with power to rally around you.
If you have $$, use it to control people, or buy your way out.
I had a family of aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents that lived by these rules.

Hey, those are my toys... you can't play with them anymore (unless you use them right)!

And if you don't do what I say then you can't play with me anymore.

My sentiments exactly.

I hope national media picks up on this.

In fact, I'm in awe that they did this.

Even the dumbest, most rattleheaded mormon HAS to see this for what it is.

Think again! Just read the comments. Yesterday they were 90% mormons blaming Radkey and supporting TSCC claiming they were damned if they do, damned if they don't.

"Radkey, who surreptitiously uses the account information of Mormon confidants, says the recent names she uncovered — and the swift backlash the news stirred — 'shook church officials.'"

I bet that the Big Fifteen are right now, as we speak, denying that the backlash "shook" them. But if it did, God bless Helen Radkey.

Haven't they blocked her before? I thought they already had a couple of times.

Nothing says "we've got something to hide" like the act of actually hiding something.

How stupid do they think people are?

Wait...
If they are the "Latter-Day" saints, then who were the saints in the not latter days??

Why does Mary, mother of Jesus need a baptism? I guess giving birth to the savior of the world is no replacement for a temple endowment...shame on you Mary & Joseph for not getting sealed in the temple that you had access to! *snark*

Hey, wait a damn minute here...THERE IS NO MORMON TEMPLE IN ISRAEL. I guess god's gonna be pretty pissed off when he shows up at his home town, and there's not a morni statue anywhere. LOL

is John the Baptist a catholic saint?

because i always thought it weird that mormons would feel the need to baptize the guy that restored the authority to baptize... you know?

Maybe I'm thinking of Kolob...

"Now, anyone trying to enter or search for those sensitive names in the New FamilySearch system will have their accounts suspended until they prove a legitimate family connection."
