Mormons believe that they can become gods and goddesses, which in my opinion perpetuates the elitist view they have towards others.

Yet at the same time, their beliefs and culture cause them to be some of the most insecure people around.

Similar to how a bully has low self-esteem.

They feel self-righteous that they have a cornerstone on truth, but most inwardly feel that they will never be worthy enough to capitalize on the truth and rewards.

Just my opinion from observation and experience...

Things on pedestals are highly susceptible to falling off.

We see this right now: The Morg is tottering precariously on its pedestal, as truth about its history and doctrine are coming forth and shaking things up!

That's a pretty good analogy.
Mormons are quite confident in their righteousness, and are generally happy to lord that over others. But since they are also aware that the are definitely being denied some aspect of the glory of heaven, they are also extremely insecure.
Just as many bullies are bullied at home and have little power over their own lives, they want to establish themselves as powerful over you, thus gaining a sense of confidence and comforting themselves.

It's sad that gain up people behave this way without realizing how crude and infighting they are. Most other grown UPS who aren't Mormon, dont

"the glory of god is intelligence"

'but don't use it - just pay, pray and obey'
