DW actually skipped church today because some family was acting inappropriately (don't want to get into details since that may blow my cover).

Good news ... she took it further... she did the following on this Sunday ...

she went shopping at the local Home Improvement store.

She met us at the park where the entire family played for an hour.

She didn't bat an eye when I told her I took DD to starbucks for hot chocolate.

She encouraged me to buy DD a bike at the local Big Box Store.

So I realized the key with some people is breaking away from the social aspect of church. Yeah... maybe some people need to be "offended" to even consider leaving.

As a side note, I started bringing up doctrine / history issues and pointing out how the Church is basically dishonest. She shut done at that point saying I was "nitpicking". So I backed off ... logic is not going to do it ... only pure emotions will work to break the spell.

Anyway, I'm hoping we can all be done with this damn cult this year. That's my goal anyway.
