Been almost a year and a half out. (was the standard eyes opened, told spouse, got a divorce over it, submitted my letter, etc)

I have never looked back. I had a few withdrawals like looking over my shoulder to buy beer (like I was murdering someone), and other programming to undo, but I am completely out.

2 months ago my ex wife stopped by to told me she had stopped believing (a year later..no kids fyi), but has chosen to remain due to family peer pressure. I got a full apology.

And two days ago the missionaries found me outside listening to some violent music. I turned it down out of kindness and stopped to talk to them. When they finally asked (after asking if I knew of anyone, or if I myself needed any service) if I have ever heard of the Book for Mormon I told them I was an ex Mormon. I then told them if they are curious why I would be happy to discuss doctrine and history with them. All I got was a 'good to know' and a good 'talking to you'. Ha.

That's cool that she had the cajones to apologize and admit she was wrong. I hope her apology provided some healing for both of you.

That's so rad, with your ex. Stand a little taller, you've earned it.

Says something nice about your ex-wife!

As to the mishies’ backing off, no doubt they have been instructed to steer clear of any Truth-telling apostates, due to the contagion!

I never had any problems with her and loved her dearly. She is just stuck in a bad situation and hasn't been able to get out of it and clear her head to make the right decisions.

Do Mormons ever apologize -- for anything?
