I only listened on Sunday, and I remember a talk about sharing the gospel, but I don't recall social media being mentioned.
Tommy Boy did say something to the effect of "you won't find the truth on the internet, or by doing a Google search, but by appealing to he who has all knowledge."
Do they have any idea how stupid they sound when they rage against the Internet? Like the paranoid old Southern pastors who used to rage against libraries. After all, "information" is evil. To be informed is dangerous.
I didn't watch. Not one nano-second. I spent the day with *gasp* my family! Doing fun things! And I even drank a beer! DK I do think you make a good point-even as a TBM I wondered why the church didn't have an online system set up so that everyone could just pay their tithing and other contributions straight to headquarters and save everyone so much time. Then I left and of course I came to realize that by making things online it would eliminate the guilt, pressure, and complete power structure of the Bishop and other local leaders use to pound down the congregation into opening their wallets even farther.
