There was a recent post regarding a dozen or so men in someone’s area who were interviewed as possible replacements for the outgoing stake president. One question asked of each man was, “Do you expect to be living in this area for at least the next 10 years?”

10.long.years.

Our last SP passed away in the middle of his term. He was the only SP I think I could say was pretty kick ass. Don't think he had an enemy, but I could be wrong. He literally ran himself ragged serving the church and especially the youth. Felt ill at a church meeting one evening, went home early, died in his sleep. Couldn't have been more than 50 years old. Admittedly, I was very sad when I heard the news.

The really bad ones serve for eternity.
Their selfish actions and bad counsel can ripple through generations.
