Quick question, is the Proclamation to the World issued in 1995, signed off by the first presidency and the quorum of the twelve, a revelation or just a guideline?

In Boyd Packer's 2010 general conference talk, he stated "It qualifies according to the definition as a revelation...and uh, would do well that the members of the church to read and follow."

And yet, on the written version of BKP's talk, placed on the lds.org website, the revelation gets downgraded to a guide.

So what is it? A revelation from God or a guideline?

Neither. It's a piece of crap - just re-labeled.

The guy appears to be reading every word of his talk. Why would they modify the printed version from what he actually said? Seems to me, they are possibly planning for a day when they are forced to invent some doctrine that makes homosexuality acceptable.
